Connect RCAI as a custom MCP app.

ChatGPT supports custom MCP apps through Developer Mode. Availability and controls vary by plan and workspace configuration.

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings and enable Developer Mode if required for your account.
  2. Go to Settings → Apps → Create (or Workspace Settings → Apps → Create if you are an admin).
  3. Enter https://revcycleai.com/mcp as the MCP endpoint.
  4. Choose OAuth authentication and select Scan Tools.
  5. When RevCycleAI opens, enter the email attached to your RCAI Pro account and use the secure sign-in link.
  6. Approve the connection, finish creating the app, then select RevCycleAI in a new ChatGPT conversation when you want fresh RCAI data.
ChatGPT plan note: custom MCP capabilities differ by plan. Read-only MCP access is available more broadly than full write/modify MCP capabilities.

Claude

Add RCAI as a remote custom connector.

Claude supports remote MCP custom connectors across individual and organization plans, with admin setup required for some Team and Enterprise workspaces.

  1. Open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Select + → Add custom connector. Team and Enterprise Owners can add it from Organization Settings → Connectors.
  3. Enter https://revcycleai.com/mcp as the remote MCP server URL.
  4. Finish adding the connector and select Connect.
  5. Complete the RevCycleAI OAuth sign-in using the email attached to your RCAI Pro account.
  6. Enable RevCycleAI for a conversation from Claude's connector controls and start asking RCAI market questions.

Connection questions.

Do I need RevCycleAI Pro?

Basic market-intelligence tools can be exposed publicly. Full company intelligence and Ask RevCycleAI require an active Pro account and OAuth authentication.

Does ChatGPT or Claude receive my RCAI password?

No. RevCycleAI uses a delegated OAuth flow. The AI client receives a scoped access token after you authenticate with RCAI; it does not receive your RCAI login credential.

Why does RCAI ask me to sign in again when connecting?

MCP connections require a fresh secure authorization so the connector can verify your account and issue the appropriate scopes. This is separate from simply being signed into the RCAI website in another tab.

Can other MCP-compatible AI clients connect?

Yes. RCAI exposes a remote MCP endpoint with OAuth. Clients that support compatible remote MCP transport and OAuth can connect to the same endpoint.
