Physitrack Opens AI-Powered EMR as It Prepares to Add RCM Workflows in 2027

More than 800 clinics registered during early access, representing around 5,600 prospective users. Insurance claims and revenue-cycle features are targeted for January 2027.

From early access to broader availability

Physitrack opened its AI-enabled EMR to physical therapy and rehabilitation practices across its English-language markets on November 2, removing a U.S.-focused waitlist.

The company reported more than 800 clinic registrations across 60 countries, representing approximately 5,600 prospective users. The registrations are not paid subscriptions.

The EMR remains free ahead of planned paid subscriptions in January 2027. Physitrack announced an early-access rate of $39.99 per user monthly for qualifying adopters and $59.99 per user monthly for new customers beginning in January, with optional AI add-ons.

Insurance RCM is on the roadmap, not in production

The platform currently supports patient self-pay billing. Insurance claims and revenue cycle management workflows, including a previously announced Claim.MD integration, are planned to launch in January 2027 for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Those insurance and RCM capabilities are not currently live. Their functionality, adoption and financial impact remain to be demonstrated.

The implications for specialty RCM

Vertical practice software vendors increasingly use the EMR as a distribution layer for billing, payments and administrative automation. That can put pressure on standalone vendors by concentrating everyday clinical and financial work in a single platform.

Specialist RCM vendors may still win through integrations and partnerships rather than owning the entire clinical software stack. For investors, the key test is whether these platforms can convert clinical distribution into trusted revenue-cycle functionality.

RevCycleAI take: Physitrack's announcement shows a platform strategy, not proven insurance claims automation. The January rollout and subsequent customer outcomes are the milestones that matter.
